BUILDING INTO THE FUTURE

In 2022, Hite Concrete Pumping celebrated 50 years in business. As our company continues to expand and evolve, we stay true to the core values which have guided the business up from its humble beginnings. Our dedication to quality, efficiency, and safety is what continues to propel us forward as the area’s number one concrete pumping service.

STARTING A NEW CHAPTER

After spending much of his life dedicated to the family business, Dick Hite decided it was time to direct his focus toward his other ventures within the concrete industry. It was at this time, in 2021, Hite Concrete Pumping became a partner of JDE Concrete Pumping and other successful companies within the concrete industry ranging from Florida to Northern Michigan.

GROWING INTO AN INDUSTRY-LEADING COMPANY

Under Dick Hite’s leadership, the fleet and employee base expanded, allowing Hite Concrete Pumping to continue to meet the area’s concrete pumping needs within the ever-evolving concrete industry. Hite Concrete Pumping built long-lasting partnerships with many customers and proved to be an industry leader within the tri-state area.

CONTINUING THE LEGACY

Dick purchased the family business from his father in 1994, continuing the legacy he helped to build. He hoped to run the business while maintaining his job at Rudolph Libbe, but was advised by Mr. Rudolph himself to focus all of his efforts into his business.

GAINING EXPERIENCE

When work slowed down for his father’s business, Dick was offered a job for Rudolph Libbe Inc., where he worked for 14 years operating a concrete pump on various types of projects. This helped him to build significant experience in the concrete pumping industry.

FAMILY-OWNED AND OPERATED BUSINESS

From an early age, Richard’s son, Richard (Dick) Hite II, helped him operate and maintain the company’s concrete pumps. Even before he could drive, Dick was operating the company’s trailer pump and once able, moved up to the boom pumps.

FOUNDED IN 1972

After working for a contractor who owned a Thomsen concrete pump, Richard Milton Hite was inspired to start his own concrete pumping company. He purchased a Case 65’ boom and trailer and hit the ground running.
